Designs that are not overdone !

concrete figurines BEAUTIFUL !!!

There are many beautiful interior designs that inspire and appeal to me, but I don't know if I can truly define my style or if I can determine what trend I'm into - if any !

I know I'm drawn to features that integrate old & new  in creative ways that are not too predictable. I love designers who can compliment the architecture and can allow room for your style & home to evolve with out it screaming " I'm overdone ", which is why I'm drawn to the style of london based interior designer Kathy Dalwood. If I can best describe her style it would be, Bohemian flair with romantic elements - except her creativity goes beyond interior design. So take a look & enjoy !!!

Cards Galore !!!

Do you like to smell paper ? I do ! Certain smells can evoke a lot of good memories, and to me that is true when I walk into a stationary store filled with beautiful paper goods & pretty cards that are irresistible to touch and feel their texture and of-course to smell them.

Located in Chicago, Greer's store owner - Chandra Greer is one lucky lady to have such a store, and although I have never been to Chicago I will definitely put her store on my wish list of visiting places. If like me you live in another part of the country, not to worry, Greer has an online shop where you can find many of their AMAZING cards. In addition to paper goods they also offer assortment of candles, soaps and desk accessories, be sure to check it out !!!

Rooms that demand..... RELAXATION !!!

I LOVE the fresh summer beach feel of the rooms below. They set the mood without overdoing it & with no particular nautical theme... ( yikes ! I hate to say it, but I dislike nautical themes :( ) just the allure of the ocean is enough to set the decor. So , I'll let the images speak for themselves. ( All photos are from Coastalliving )

BAGS TO READ ?

It is designers like Maurizio & his creative team at Momaboma italy { designers of handbags and accessories }  that prove... recycling can be chic & stylish !!! and what better way to be stylish than to carry one of their eco-friendly and oh so chic bags.

Their creations are made entirely of old news papers and recycled vintage magazines from the 50's, 60's and the 70's. The bags depict bold and fun graphics of movie stars and adds, giving new life & turning virtually trash to creations of ART ! even the lining in the bags are lined with recycled textiles, t-shirts and original military parachutes ( can you believe it ? it's amazing !!! )

MULTI TALENT

I'm sure most of you have heard of the multi-talented artist,Nathalie lete. If you haven't then you must have seen many of her beautiful works featured in one of my favorite stores none other than:Anthropologie . I emphasize the word multi, since her work & creativity has no boundaries, her art is expressed in so many ways such as: paintings, ceramics, textiles, toys and jewelry, all centered in child like themes inspired by vintage toys and fantasy, accompanied with wit. I am so completely captivated by her work and I'm certain you will too.

Her work is currently featured in Anthropologie's online exhibition space called The Gallery.
