Bold & Beautiful !

I recently came across Henry Road, a los angeles based studio & store, which owner and fabric designer Paula Smail showcases her <amazing collection> of textiles that she designs.

Her textiles have BOLD and colorful graphic prints { influenced by Marimekko }, with which she creates home accessories and uses to update old furniture..... and what you get is a very eclectic mix of old and new,.... absolutely beautiful, check them out !

finding treasure !!!

I love scouring flea markets and antique stores, and not because I'm an antique collector enthusiast or a collector of anything for that matter - it's just the thrill of hunting for that one special find and knowing exactly where you're going to place it when you get home. 

But for many of us who can't get to flea markets or haven't the time to go to antique stores, visit P.O.S.H online, for one of a kind or limited finds that appeal to any pocket book. They have an amazing selection of antique Hotel silver, french linens, toys, accessories and timeless treasures yet to be discovered. If you're lucky enough to live or visit Chicago stop by their shop in person, I'm sure it will be quite the experience !

Designs that are not overdone !

concrete figurines BEAUTIFUL !!!

There are many beautiful interior designs that inspire and appeal to me, but I don't know if I can truly define my style or if I can determine what trend I'm into - if any !

I know I'm drawn to features that integrate old & new  in creative ways that are not too predictable. I love designers who can compliment the architecture and can allow room for your style & home to evolve with out it screaming " I'm overdone ", which is why I'm drawn to the style of london based interior designer Kathy Dalwood. If I can best describe her style it would be, Bohemian flair with romantic elements - except her creativity goes beyond interior design. So take a look & enjoy !!!
